How is your service different from other mailing list providers?

We’ve designed it just for authors – not for businesses in general. We want to help authors build reader lists easily and quickly, so we’ll be adding features that make that process as painless and automatic as possible.

Our site is clear and clutter-free – and simple to use. We’re also cheaper than other mailing list providers and we won’t suddenly hit you with massive costs as you go over a 2000 subscriber limit. All the list-building features are available to you – whatever your pricing tier.

Do I need my own website to start collecting email addresses?

No. If you don’t have your own blog, we give you a webpage with a customizable sign-up form in it hosted on our site. You can link to this page from your Twitter or Facebook profile. You can also link to this page in your books.

If you do have your own website or blog, you can use the sign-up form as you like.

Can I add subscribers myself?

Yes, you can add up to 1000 addresses manually per month. Use this option to include email addresses that you get from book-signing events, for example. To import larger lists, use our import feature.

Can I import an existing list from MailChimp?

Yes. We’ll import your MailChimp list for you – at no charge.

If I decide to stop using your service, can I take my list with me?

Yes – your author mailing list belongs to you. You can easily export your subscriber lists as a csv file which can be imported by all major mailing list providers.

Who takes care of bounces or unsubscribes, etc?

We do. Our system is automatic.

How many lists can I have?

As many as you like. Multiple lists make sense if you write in more than one genre or pen name. This means you can set up sign-up forms, confirmation and automation emails to be relevant for different groups of readers.

You might also want a different list for different purposes. For example, you could have a list for addresses from Facebook, another for a giveaway, or one for VIP / Advance Readers; and so on.

Do you provide automation?

Yes. You can set up a sequence of automated emails to send to new (double opt-in) subscribers. This feature isn’t available for subscribers that you add manually.

What about support?

Yes. There’s free, unlimited email support on every plan and during your initial free trial. We’ve made the system as easy and intuitive to use as possible, but you can contact us anytime if you need help.
